1. Blessed are Poor in spirit

   πτωχοὶ τῷ πνεύματι

   Beati pauperes spiritu

   Matthew 5:3

   theirs is the kingdom of heaven

2. Blessed are They that mourn

   πενθοῦντες

   Beati qui lugent

   Matthew 5:4

   they shall be comforted

3. Blessed are The meek

   πραεῖς

   Beati mites

   Matthew 5:5

   they shall inherit the earth

4. Blessed are Hunger and thirst after righteousness

   πεινῶντες καὶ διψῶντες

   Beati qui esuriunt et sitiunt iustitiam

   Matthew 5:6

   they shall be filled

5. Blessed are The merciful

   ἐλεήμονες

   Beati misericordes

   Matthew 5:7

   they shall obtain mercy

6. Blessed are Pure in heart

   καθαροὶ τῇ καρδίᾳ

   Beati mundo corde

   Matthew 5:8

   they shall see God

7. Blessed are The peacemakers

   εἰρηνοποιοί

   Beati pacifici

   Matthew 5:9

   they shall be called the children of God

8. Blessed are Persecuted for righteousness

   δεδιωγμένοι

   Beati qui persecutionem patiuntur propter iustitiam

   Matthew 5:10

   theirs is the kingdom of heaven

9. Blessed are Reviled for His sake

   μακάριοί ἐστε ὅταν ὀνειδίσωσιν ὑμᾶς

   Beati estis cum maledixerint vobis

   Matthew 5:11-12

   great is your reward in heaven
